Kimberly Ann Flanagan

Sept. 27, 1954 - June 11, 2013

ELWOOD — Kimberly Ann, wife of Rick Flanagan, passed away June 11, 2013, at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital, Elwood.

Kim was born in Elwood on Sept. 27, 1954, to William and Chiquela Harrison McGuire. She married Rick on April 14, 1973, and they have owned Elwood Fire Equipment for 33 years.

An active member of the First Missionary Baptist Church, she loved her Lord and enjoyed reading her Bible. She had served as president of Oakland Elementary PTA for several years where she started the "Secret Santa Shop." Kim was a former member of Lambda Chapter of Tri Kappa.

Her great joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren whom she adored. She attended all their athletic events no matter how far away she had to travel. She also enjoyed tending her flowers and from her porch swing seeing those flowers mature. This was her great delight.

She is survived by her husband, Rick; mother, Chiquela McGuire; three children, Kreg (wife, Jenni) Flanagan of Elwood, Kirk (wife, Jamie) Flanagan of Fishers, and Kabe (wife, Keah) Flanagan of Elwood; grandchildren, Hannah, Ella, Aidan, Owen and Olivia Flangan; one sister, Koby (husband, Dan) Saffron of Elwood; and brothers, Roddy (wife, Barbara) McGuire of Elwood and Todd (wife, Nancy) McGuire of Elwood.

She was preceded in death by her father, William McGuire; grandparents, Royal and Kathryn Harrison, Meryl and Ellen Offenbacker and Lee McGuire.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Joshua Carney officiating.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Jackley-Landrum Funeral Home, 1629 E. Main St., Elwood. Burial will be in Elwood City Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Food for Kids Program at Elwood Elementary. Checks can be made payable to East Main Street Christian Church Food For Kids.
