PENDLETON — Norman Brown, 81, of Pendleton, passed away on June 12, 2013, at his residence.
He was born on Oct. 28, 1931, in Kentucky, and resided most of his life in Gas City.
Norman retired from Owens-Illinois after 30 years of service. He served his country in the U.S. Marines.
Norman enjoyed fishing and playing euchure.
He was a member of the American Legion in Jonesboro and the AMVETS in Marion.
Norman is survived by his children, Michael (Joy) Brown of Pendleton, Cathy Clark of Gas City, Sharon (Nigel) Griffiths of Munich, Germany; siblings, Carol Johnson of Huntington, Rosie Baker of Huntington, and Barbara Ellis of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Jamie Brown, Michael Brown, Swarsattie Brown, Nafeeza Brown, Ria (Jason) Andrews, Kyle Ketchum and Macallan Griffiths; one great-granddaughter, Heavenly Angel Andrews. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ethel Brown; and brothers, Gene Brown, Jim Brown, and Dean Brown.
Cremation will take place and there will be no visitation or services.
