---- — ANDERSON — Gabriyel Steven Gilley, just over 4 months old, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Health, Anderson.

He was born Feb. 11, 2013, to Kayla Clark and Steven Gilley, both of Anderson.

Gabe gave us a lifetime of love during his short time on earth. He was always laughing, smiling and cooing, constantly bright-eyed and taking in everything around him. One of his most famous trips was to Menards, where he actually turned around in his car seat and stood on his hands looking up at all the lights to not miss a thing.

He made a long trip in the truck to Nashville, Ind., to see his cousin play softball.

Another daily routine was Grandpa Brian Clark babysitting for him four or five days a week. “Papa” never let him cry on his watch. Brian told God that he expected the same of him when Gabe arrived in Heaven. Then his Grandma Rebecca Clark would sing to him every day when he arrived, “The Wheels on the Bus.” She would grab his legs and sing the song and make gestures along with the song. He would just laugh and laugh.

He was loved by so many more family members and friends. His short-lived life has made a tremendous impact on many people, including his Uncle John Clark.

Gabriyel is survived by his parents, Steven Gilley and Kayla Clark of Anderson; brother, Alex Gilley; paternal grandparents, Richard and Julia Gilley of Pendleton; maternal grandparents, Brian and Rebecca Clark of Anderson; great-grandparents, Bill and Nancy Seybert of Anderson, Dorris Smith of Lapel, Lee and Bonnie Miller of Anderson, Rex and Jan Clark of Anderson, and LeAnne G.White of Anderson; uncles, Jon Clark of Anderson, and Jeremy Crull of Anderson; and an aunt, Tabby Canarr of Anderson. Gabriyel is also survived by several other cousins.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Garrard G. Smith, Leon and Carole White and James Gilley.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Cole officiating. Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park.

To help cover funeral and medical costs, a memorial fund has been set up. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting monetary donations. Please send any donation, c/o First Merchants Bank, P.O. Box 476, Lapel, IN 46051. In the memo line, please write, “Doris Smith 4088” or “Jan Repp 4088.”

All checks/donations should be sent directly to the bank. Both Kayla and Steven are employed at Hoosier Park. Kayla is also employed by Gordon Food Service.

Even though we only had this precious little Angel for four short months, he was loved more than life itself. He changed each of our family members in a positive way. We have been so blessed by his presence and shall forever hold him in our hearts. Thank you God for such a beautiful gift. Fly free my little angel.
