Terry G. Buck

Sept. 27, 1937 - April 15, 2014

CELINA, Tenn. — Terry G. Buck, 76, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.

He was born on Sept. 27, 1937, in Livingston, Tenn., to Willis and Delphia (Carter) Buck. A former resident of Alexandria, Ind., he had resided in Celina for the past several years. He was a graduate of Livingston High School, Livingston, Tenn.

Terry had been a commercial truck driver for most of his lifetime, driving for Consolidated Freightway in Indiana for 35 years and retiring in 1998. He also owned and operated Alexandria Trucking Co. for 12 years. He was a member of Alexandria Eagles Lodge 1771. Terry enjoyed wintering in Zephyrhills, Fla., playing golf, and he was a NASCAR fan.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce (Long) Buck, whom he married Nov. 28, 1997; two sons, Terry G. Buck of Columbia, Ky., and Bill B. Buck of Henderson, La.; seven grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; four stepchildren, Rick (Tina) Bell, Donna Beavans, Rhonda (Ron) Poulson and Ron (Christy) Bell; several great-grandchildren; brother, Ray (Terri) Buck of Celina, Tenn.; sisters, Jeanette Hudson, Helen (Danny) McFadden and Patty Ellis, all of Anderson, Ind., and Ann (Chuck) Didion of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Clyita Rogers Buck in 1995; a daughter, Tina Tomlinson in 2005; brothers, Jerry Buck and Jimmy Buck; and a sister, Pearl Fletcher Buffenbarger.

Services honoring Terry’s life will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Noffze Funeral Home, 501 N. Harrison St., Alexandria. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Anderson.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
