ANDERSON — Wandalee Shank, 93, of Anderson, died on April 24, 2014, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital following an extended illness.
She was born on Aug. 23, 1920, in Huntington County, to Charles and Frances Forrester.
She was a 1939 graduate of Banquo High School. She was a homemaker. She was a member of East Side Church of God since 1951 and the Women of the Church of God. She was den mother for the Cub Scouts. She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her three children, Tom (Marsha) Shank, Spencer (Cheryl) Shank and Mary Jane (John) Fairchild, all of Anderson; a sister, Mary Hewitt of Marion; a brother, Charles (Judy) Forrester of Redkey; six grandchildren, Jeffrey Davenport, Shawn (Tina) Davenport, Sonya (David) Cook, Craig Shank, Jennifer Chase and Andrew (April) Shank; 10 great-grandchildren, Christine Davenport, Victoria Davenport, Teresa Davenport, Isaiah Cook, Aaron Cook, Adrah Cook, Aiden Chase, Gavin Chase, Miller Shank and Isla Shank; a brother-in-law, Russell Shank of Conroe, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Betty (Jim) Zehring of Anderson and Mary Jane Forrester of Wabash; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rolland Jay Shank in 1990; two brothers, George and Woodrow Forrester; and two sisters, Ruby King and Ruth Ward.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with the Rev. Mary Ann Randolph officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service on Monday.
