ANDERSON — Robert W. Wehlage, 68, of Anderson died April 27, 2014, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital after an extended illness.
He was born Jan. 23, 1946, in Muncie, to Raymond and Rosemary (Clark) Wehlage.
He was a crane operator 30 years for ABC Rail before retiring in 1996.
He was a member of Sons of AmVets.
He loved fishing, NASCAR, boating and anything in the sun.
He is survived by his children, Robin Wehlage (Steve Turner), Rod (Rene) Wehlage, Dana (Mike) Rigney, Angela Davis and Rod Heltzel; sister, Marsha Alfont; grandchildren, Gary Bicknell, Travis Bicknell, Calvin Turner, Michael Rigney, Megan Rigney, Haylie Rigney, Tanner Wehlage, Trey Wehlage, Cassidy Heltzel and Chase Heltzel; great-granddaughter, Mylah Wehlage; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Colleen (Heltzel) Wehlage.
Service will be noon Wednesday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with burial in Jones Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service at noon.
