---- — PENDLETON — Gloria D. Edwards Wilson, 72, of Pendleton, passed away May 12, 2014, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital after an extended illness.
She was born March 12, 1942, in Mitchellville, Tenn., the daughter of the late Donald and Pauline (Knight) Slack. She was a lifelong Anderson resident and the senior financial analyst for Conseco, in Carmel, where she had worked since 1990. She also had been the former owner of the 67 Dinette & My Place Bar.
She will be remembered as a loving, caring person who selflessly gave to her family, the Pendleton Community Church of God, and her job at Conseco.
She is survived by her son, Terry (Rhonda) Fowler of Arcadia; daughter, Teresa (Michael) Poteet of St. Petersburg, Fla.; grandsons, Ryan (Kylie) McCully of Yorktown, Korey Fowler of Anderson, and Kyle Fowler of Arcadia; great-granddaughters, Harley and Emily Powell; brothers, Lindy (Rose) Slack, and Jimmy (Sheila) Slack; and sisters, Paulette (John) Stout and Melissa (Stevie) Staggs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Perry Hopper.
Services will be conducted at noon Saturday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, with Pastor Trey Oldham officiating. Burial will follow in Grovelawn Cemetery in Pendleton.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and Saturday one hour prior to the service.
