PENDLETON — Jarrett K. “Jarre” Zeis, 75, went home to be with the Lord on May 14, 2014, at Rawlins House in Pendleton.
Jarre was the son of George R. and Marietta (Jarrett) Zeis and was born on Aug. 26, 1938, in Indianapolis. He was a lifelong Fortville/ Pendleton area resident. He graduated from Fortville High School and served in the Army Reserves.
He was a skilled electrician who owned and operated Total Services for many years and retired from RCA/Thompson Consumer Electronics in Indianapolis. He was also the co-owner of Fortville Sports for over 10 years. He was a member of the Fortville United Methodist Church and loved singing in its choir. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and target shooting.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Sue (Hutcheson) Zeis, in 2001.
Survivors include daughters, Joan (David Danielson) Adam, Carol (Tim) Comer, Jennifer (Bill) O’Dell; son, Jarrett K. “Jay” (Brenda) Zeis Jr.; and sister, Marianne (Larry) Cochran. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 124 E. Staat St., Fortville.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Fortville United Methodist Church, 125 E. Staat St., Fortville, with Pastor Karen Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.
