ANDERSON — Betty A. Burke, 85, of Anderson, passed away July 8, 2013 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born Oct. 8, 1927 in Fulton, S.D., and moved to Anderson in 1941. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School and was a homemaker.
Betty was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Patty (husband, Denis) Kuhn of Alexandria and Debbie (husband, David) Moorman of Bedford; five grandchildren, Kelly (husband, Scott) Semon of Pendleton, Kris (husband, Chris) Proctor of Speedway, Brad Lockwood of Wilmette, Ill., Christopher Moorman of New York City and Erik Moorman of Norfolk, Va.; six great-grandchildren, Justin (wife, Ann) Semon, Kailey Semon, Sarah Proctor, Ellery Lockwood, Caroline Lockwood and Aubrey Proctor; niece, Jeannine Cruze of Tucson, Ariz.; son-in-law, Kent Clark of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, James A. Burke; daughter, Cheryl A. Clark; infant daughter, Diane Burke; sister, Dorothy Bannister; mother and stepfather, Ann and Roy Manford; and father, George Brewer.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with Father Mark Walter officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
