ANDERSON — Ted Malone departed this life July 6, 2013 after a long battle with cancer; he fought a long good fight.
He was born April 16, 1955 in Sledge, Miss., to Frank J. and Elizabeth Malone Sr. He lived in Anderson for 46 years. He graduated from Anderson High School in 1974.
He was employed with Delco Remy and had a love for remodeling and carpentry. He was a member of West 14th Street Church of Christ.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Elizabeth Malone; four daughters, Tia Chamberlain, Haley (Terry) Lewis, McCinzie Oglesby, and Ashley Swain; four sisters, Dorothy (Bobbie) Harris, Francie (Ronald) Davis, Louretta Malone and Margie (Tony) DeGraphenreed; five brothers, Ervin (Dennifer) Malone, Freddie Malone, Thurman (Lisa) Malone, Mac Malone, and Donnie (Marcia) Malone; other brothers and sisters, Andrea and Andre Murphy, Jennifer Murphy, Earnest Malone, and Bobby Wright; and very special friend, Sandra Chamberlain.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank J. Malone, Sr.; brothers, Frank J. Malone, Jr., and Fred A. Malone; sister, Lillie L. Malone; and aunt, Carrie Stephaney.
Service will be held at noon on Friday at Church at Christ, 4620 Columbus Ave., Anderson, with Rev. Tony Bridges officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the church.
