PENDLETON, Ind. —
Betty J. Watson, 91, Pendleton, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at her farm home where she resided for 70 years.
She was born on July 23, 1921, in Hancock County, to Clarence and Amy (Edwards) Ward. She graduated from Fortville High School in 1939.
Betty had been employed at Saint John’s Hospital and Conner Prairie Settlement but was mainly a farm wife.
She was active in 4-H and was an avid quilter.
She is survived by four children, Steve (wife, Jeannie) Watson, Nicki Davis (Mike), Randy (wife, Paula) Watson, and Tom (wife, Pam) Watson, all of Pendleton; 16 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 43 years, Robert Watson; a brother, Francis Ward; and two granddaughters.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 N. Main St., Lapel, with the family officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
