NEWBURY PARK, Calif. —
Kevin Edward Scott, 48, of Newbury Park, Calif., passed away Feb. 5, 2013, after a three-year battle with cancer.
He was born on March 13, 1964, in Hepner, Ore., and was a 1983 graduate of Pendleton Heights High School, Pendleton, Ind.
He was the chief engineer of 100.3 The Sound in California. He worked at various radio stations in the Los Angeles area for the past 28 years. He and Melinda were married on Nov. 17, 2011, at The Sound as he loved his radio family so much.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Melinda Kay Scott of Newbury Park, Calif.; mother, Sharon (Fouse) Scott; father, Dwight Scott; brother, Eric (Robin) Scott of Anderson, Ind.; sister, Heather Scott of Hollywood, Calif.; sister, Wendy Howard of Salem, Ind.; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Fouse of Anderson, Ind.; stepson, Dustin Haskett; stepson, Tylor Ketring; stepdaughter, Jacqueline Alexander; three grandsons; six aunts; four uncles, 41 cousins; and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparent, Harmon (Marie) Scott; and maternal grandfather, Edmund Fouse.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Anderson First Friends Church, 2233 S. Central Way, Anderson.
Arrangements are being handled by Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson, Ind.
