---- — ANDERSON — Irvin Van Buskirk, 72, of Anderson, passed away on Aug. 18, 2013, at his residence. He was born on Jan. 12, 1941, in Anderson where he resided all of his life.
Irvin retired from Borg Warner after 30 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking, antique cars, and spending time with family and friends. Irvin was a very caring and loving husband and father.
He was a member of the Living Water Community Church.
Irvin is survived by his wife whom he married Nov. 1, 1975, Diane (Lakey) Van Buskirk; children, Bruce Van Buskirk, Beth (Ray) O’Bryant, Amanda (Chris) Portwood, Sandy (Terry) Richie, Betty (Kevin) Kirtley, and Lou Ann (John) Mason; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Bob (Pam) Van Buskirk; sister, Judy (Mike) Humphries; several nieces and nephews; and his loving dog Susie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Agnes Van Buskirk; and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Farling officiating.
Burial will take place at Pleasant Walk Cemetery.
