PENDLETON — Jim Boyd, 58, passed away Aug. 25, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 28, 1954, in Modesto, Calif., and was a Pendleton resident since 1992.
Jim was self-employed and had worked at Markleville Lumber for several years as well.
He was a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church - New Conference.
Survivors include his siblings, Norma (husband, John) Talbert of Anderson, Stanley (wife, Dovella) Boyd of Anderson and Nancy (husband, Harold) Flory of Covington, Ohio; several aunts and uncles; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Esther (Hess) Boyd; and brother-in-law, Dale Filbrun.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, located on the northwest corner of Madison County roads S. 600 West and W. 400 South. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, west of Pendleton.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an organization to be determined at a later date.
