Terry J. Kelly

Oct. 24, 1958 — May 4, 2013

ANDERSON, Ind. — Terry J. Kelly, 54, of Anderson, passed away May 4, 2013, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital, after a brief illness.

He was born Oct. 24, 1958, in Anderson, the son of the late Robert J. and Eileen (Wente) Kelly.  

Terry graduated, in 1976, from Madison Heights High School; he graduated from G.M.I. Institute and received his MBA from Indiana University.  

He was employed as an engineer for the SMC Corporation in Noblesville, and was named 2012 Engineer of the Year. He was a very active member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, and a member of Theta XI Fraternity.

Terry is survived by his wife of 31 years, Fawn (Schildmeier) Kelly of Anderson; three daughters, Brittany (Mike) Ecker, Ashley (Ryan) Davis and Elizabeth Kelly, all of Anderson; two grandchildren, Cora Davis and Lincoln Ecker and two on the way; sister, Mary Pat Kelly (Steve) Castillo of Mento, Calif.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jerry and Betty Schildmeier of Anderson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tony (Rita) Schildmeier of Muncie, and Mike Schildmeier and Jeri (Todd) Seabold, all of Anderson; special friends, Dan and Misty Novak of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister, David Kelly, Michael Kelly and Kathy Davis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 2801 Lincoln St., Anderson, Ind., with Father Alex Paternoster officiating. Burial will take place at East Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, Ind.
