ANDERSON — Oscar J. Cardenas, II, 37, of Anderson died Sept. 4, 2013, as the result of an automobile accident near Alexandria.
Oscar was born on June 22, 1976, in Fort Atkinson, Wis., to Oscar J. Cardenas Sr. and Antonia (Salazar) Cardenas.
He was a crew leader for Red Gold.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Amalia (Dimas) Cardenas; 10 children, Leonardo Dimas, Carina Hernandez, Brianna Cardenas, Myra Cardenas, Veronica Cardenas, Sylvia Cardenas, Oscar J. Cardenas III, Jesus Cardenas, Reynalda Cardenas and Inesa Cardenas; his parents, Oscar J. Cardenas Sr. and Antonia (Salazar) Cardenas; sister, Marianna Cardenas; two brothers, Jesus Cardenas and Joe Avendano; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service in Anderson with Monsignor Robert Sell officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.
Contributions may be given to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
