ANDERSON — Brenda Jarrett, 70, of Anderson, passed away Nov. 14, 2013, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
She was born Oct. 15, 1943, in Anderson and was a lifelong resident. She graduated in 1962 from Madison Heights High School and retired in 2001 from Guide Lamp after 31 years.
Brenda was a member of Meadowbrook Church of Christ, Order of Eastern Star, Elk’s Lodge, Moose Lodge, AmVets and Grandview Ladies Golf. She loved following the Chicago Bears, bowling, golf and fishing.
She is survived by two sons, Chris A. (Jenean) Muncy and Ben E. (Toni) Jarrett, all of Anderson; father, H.B. “Bus” McCarroll of Anderson; brother, Rusty (Sharon) McCarroll of Anderson; grandchildren, Trinity A. Muncy, Bradley Kindred, Jacob Millikan and Logan Quear; and uncle, J.T. (Marty) Freeman of Anderson. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins; all her close friends at the “office;” and her most faithful companion, her dog Smokey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Jarrett; and mother, Gwendolyn McCarroll.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with James Harrison officiating.
