---- — ANDERSON — Rachel “Kay” Ice, 75, Anderson, went home to be with her Eternal Father on June 26, 2013, at St. Vincent Heart Center, Indianapolis, after a sudden illness.
Born Oct. 3, 1937, in Meadeville, Pa., the daughter of John and Helen (Lewis) Pipper; she was raised in Chesterfield, then graduated Anderson High School in 1955.
She attended Chesterfield Community Church of God and was a devout Christian and gifted piano player. Rachel enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her children, James (Cheryl) Wilson of Anderson and Carolyn (Danny) Wilson of Chesterfield; two sisters, Sandra (Bob) Stephens of Anderson and Connie (Ronald) Baker of Muncie; two granddaughters, Amanda (George) Ancil of Anderson and Danielle Wilson of Chesterfield; three great-grandsons, Andrew Ancil, Brandon Ancil and Skyler Ancil; nephews, Roy (Rhonda) Stephens, Mark Stephens, Craig Baugh and Jeremy (Denae) Baugh. Also surviving are special friends, Terry Earlywine; and Yvonne and Woody Wright.
She was preceded in death by husband, Dorwin “Bud” Ice; mother, Helen (Lewis) Pipper; father, John Pipper; grandparents, James and Kathryn Lewis, and John R. and Hattie Pipper.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, 229 S. Rangeline Road, Anderson, with Ned Clark officiating. Burial will be in Grovelawn Cemetery in Pendleton.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
