DALLAS — Joseph Watson, 56, of Dallas, Texas, died July 6, 2013, at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
He was born March 14, 1957, in Anderson, to the late Allen and Sealie Watson.
Joseph leaves to cherish his memories five sisters, Hattie (Ricky) Dickerson of Dallas, Texas, Alyn (James) Porter, Mahala (Willie) Rolling, Janet (John) Woodall and Ceatrice (John) Bostic; six brothers, Willie Watson of Chicago, Ill., Jonathan (Nana) Denise Watson, Tom (Debbie) Watson, Abraham Nunn, John “Pee-Wee” (Dorothy) Nunn and Jimmy (Bobbie) Nunn, all of Anderson; five aunts, Katherine Watson, Earline Watson, Mamie Dixon, Carrie Nunn, and Annie Nunn; three uncles, L.C. Watson, Willie James (Bubba Jack) Watson, and Lee Charles Dixon; 23 nephews; and 14 nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Allen and Sealie Watson; his grandparents, Allen Sr. and Teresa (Battle) Watson, Ollie and Mahala Dixon; brother, David Nunn; sister-in-law Jovetta Watson; seven uncles, Columbus Watson, William (Monday) Dixon, Spencer Dixon, J.T. Dixon, Charlie Dixon, Sam Dixon, and Allen (Pete )Dixon; five aunts, Louvenia Watson, Aunt Verlina, Rosie Nunn, Rosie Cooley (Honey Moon), and Mary Simmons; and a host of relatives and friends, Attee Watson, Spencer Nunn, Charmennia Hall and more.
Services will be noon Saturday at New Berean Baptist Church with Pastor Earlie Dixon Officiating.
Calling hours will be 10 a.m. to noon. Burial will take place in Maplewood Cemetery.
