COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- —
Bertie B. (Poston) Lawson, 83, of Cookeville, Tenn., died July 3, 2013, at Masters Health Care Center in Algood, Tenn.
She was a homemaker.
She was born Jan. 21, 1930 in Jackson County, Tenn., to J.P. Poston and Lora (Lee) Poston. She lived most of her life in Indiana and Tennessee.
She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed growing flowers.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Lawson of Cookeville; two daughers, Juanita Slattery of Anderson and Carol Davis of Sparta, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.P. and Lora Poston; son, Kenneth Lawson; brother, Claude Poston; four sisters, Jewell Smith, Hattie Mea, Edna Barlow and Maudie Williams.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Livingston Funeral Home, Livingston, Tenn., with Bro. Dewey Glenn Masters officiating. Burial will be in Aaron’s Chapel Cemetery.
