ANDERSON, Ind. —
Willie R. Strange, 94, of Anderson, passed away on April 21, 2013, at the Rawlins House in Pendleton.
He was born on Feb. 17, 1919, in Glens Fork, Ky., and resided most of his life in Anderson.
Willie retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 34 years of service.
He served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
Willie was a member of Whetstone Christian Church.
He is survived by his sons, Chuck (Sue) Strange of Anderson, and Dean (Bridget) Strange of Yorktown; grandchildren, Joshua (Beth) Strange, Justin (Whitney) Strange, and Matt (Katie) Strange; great-grandchildren, Colt, Emily, Jacob and Ryan Strange; sister, Catherine Dunlevy; and nieces and nephews also survive.
Willie was preceded in death by his wife, Norma (Jent) Strange; and brothers, Willard and Shelby Strange.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Stephen Gettinger officiating. Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Whetstone Christian Church through the funeral home.
