Ms. Ruth Ann Menifield

Oct. 24, 1959 - April 30, 2013

ANDERSON, Ind. — Ms. Ruth Ann (Griffin) Menifield, 53, went home to be with her Lord and Savior of Christ, following an extended illness.  

She was born Oct. 24, 1959, in Anderson, to the late Jimmie Lee and Addie Ruth Griffin.  

She attended Madison Heights High School and was a member of Mount Pilgrim Church. She loved to sing gospel music with her family and friends. Ruth Ann was a spiritual woman of God, who loved praising the name of Jesus. She was a marvelous and wonderful mother to all who knew her.  

She leaves to cherish her memories, three beautiful daughters, Tiffany, Dineshia and Chcarie Menifield; three lovable sons, Willie, Jr., Tyson and Corie Menifield; nine adorable grandchildren, Cornell, Tynielus Morrow, Shamarie and Zyantrell Miles, Tae’Shaun, Daveion, Tyrique, Kyron Menifield and Kashyah Sarvis; four brothers, Odell Edwards and Elton, Mark and Robert (Dale) Griffin; five sisters, Joyce, Peggy, Arlea and Genora Griffin and Marlylin (Robert) Smith; several nieces and nephews; special friends, June Howard, Laura Jones, Meachy Edwards, O’Nell Broom, Annabell Weatherbee and Pat Raymore.

Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents; maternal grandparents, Luther and Veda Nave; paternal grandparents, Eli and Sara Griffin; daughter Shamicca Miles; brother, Jimmy Griffin; sister Everda Embry; and friend, Ola Alexander.

Services will be held at noon Wednesday at Mount Pilgrim Church, 615 Henry St., Anderson, with Bishop Leslie Harrison officiating. Burial will take place at Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson.

Visitation will be two hours before the Wednesday service at the church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Glazebrooks Funeral Services, Anderson.
