---- — FORT WAYNE — Peggy J. “P.J.” Mullins, 73, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. She was born on April 22, 1940, in Macon, Ga.

Peggy graduated from Pendleton Heights High School.

She retired from General Motors in 2001 after 28 and a half years of service.

She was a member of Roanoke Baptist Church as well as the UAW 2209 and the Retirees Group. She also enjoyed working in her flower beds and taking care of her home. She loved to sing.

Peggy is survived by her loving spouse, Chet Mullins of Roanoke, Ind., whom she married on July 18, 1993; children, Nina Diane (Don) Borror of Anderson, Joyce A. (Tim) Stewart of Anderson, Steve W. (Roberta) Davis of Colfax, Kristi Christopher of Muncie, Marc (Katy) Mullins of Muncie, Jason (Ashley) Mullins of Fort Wayne; siblings, Annette Phillips of Anderson, Betty “Jackie” Carter of Fairmount; grandchildren, Timothy, Michelle, Karen, Jerry, Sarah, Gregory, Haley, Grant, Kalob, Cody, Megan, Joe, Josh and Kahlea; great-grandchildren, Jonathon, Emma, Miles, Brooke and Mya; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Nina Mae (Chapman) Tucker; father, Emmett W. Tucker; and siblings, Bill Tucker, Christine Smith, Louise Watson, Jim Tucker and Mildred Crull.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11 a.m. to noon at the Roanoke Baptist Church, 11015 Lafayette Center Road, Roanoke, Ind., 46783, and from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the Robert Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson.

Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday at the Roanoke Baptist Church and 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Robert Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson, with Pastors Mike Tarr and James Bachman officiating.

Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Roanoke Baptist Church or the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
