GRAND BLANC, Mich. —
Randolph “Randy” Hobbs, 59, of Grand Blanc, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013, at Genesys Health Park.
Randolph was born July 16, 1953 the son of Jackie Hobbs and Patricia Patterson. He married Michele Peterson on Sept. 12, 1992, in Hammond, Ind.
Randy was employed by General Motors as an industrial electrician for 30 years until his retirement in 2002. He was a past member of the Elks Club and a private pilot of single-engine, land and sea planes. He enjoyed biking and long distance running.
Surviving are his wife, Michele; four children, Melissa Hobbs of Alexandria, Jason “Jake” Hobbs of Indianapolis, Ryan Hobbs (Elma) of Alexandria, and Cedric Hobbs of Grand Blanc; father, Jackie Hobbs (Ann) of Scottsdale, Ariz.; mother, Patricia Baker (James) of Frankton; siblings, Gregory Hobbs (Luwana) of Frankton and Jennifer Harrison (Thurston) of Ft. Smith, Ark.; half-sister, Sarah Hobbs of Chandler, Ariz.; stepbrothers and stepsisters, Cindy Dwiggins of Cicero, Ronnie Hobbs of Frankton and Jeff Cook of Anderson; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and additional loving family members.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Shelly; and brother, John.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Mich., with Pastor Darrell Bailey officiating. Visitation will be 1 p.m. Wednesday until time of service at the funeral home.
