ANDERSON, Ind. —
Virginia R. (Owens) Klett, 86, passed away April 30, 2013, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.
She was born Aug. 6, 1926, in Pendleton, and was an Anderson and Middletown resident most of her life.
Virginia was employed at Delco Remy in Anderson for 14 years and owned and operated Virginia’s Fabrics in Middletown for 32 years.
Survivors include her son, Eugene Klett of New Castle; sister, Marianna (husband, David) Schulte of Anderson; two granddaughters, Veronica (husband, Steve) Boose and Angela McKaye; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; special companion and friend, Malcolm Hall; and close friend, Paul Hawkins, who was like a son to her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Arthur Klett; grandson, Steve Jones; parents, Howard Walter and Mary (Pettigrew) Owens; siblings, Eugene Nelson Owens, Howard Walter Owens, Jr., Robert Ellis Owens, James Edwards Owens, Lewis Owens, Julianna Owens and Flora Elizabeth “Betty” Granger; and a nephew, Robert Ellis Owens.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, Pendleton will the Rev. Bill Ledbetter officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Lawn Cemetery in Pendleton.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Lahm Chapel.
