ANDERSON, Ind. —
Roberta Strader, 78, of Anderson, passed away May 8, 2013, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Middletown, following an extended illness.
She was born July 15, 1934, in Anderson, and was a lifelong Anderson resident. She graduated from Anderson High School and retired from Farm Bureau.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra (husband Charles) Teague of Anderson; son, William “Steve” Strader of Anderson; four grandchildren, Christopher Morgan (Karen Borror) of Alexandria and Alexis Strader, Rita (husband, Kyle) Wagoner and Jennifer Pryor, all of Anderson; five great-grandchildren, Shante Haines of Terre Haute, Austin Crusmire, Ashton Crusmire, CeCelia Litten, all of Anderson and Emma Morgan of Alexandria; brothers, William (wife, Nancy) Zehring of Indianapolis and Billy Ross (wife, Debbie) Giles of Camby; sister, Pam (husband, Kenney) Young of Orange City, Fla.; six nieces; six nephews; aunt, Laura Mae Atkinson of Anderson; cousin, Suzie Robbins of Cincinnati, Ohio; and special friends, Garland and Elma Wooldridge of Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Kathlyn Zehring; husband, William R. Strader on May 4, 2013; and brother, Eugene Giles.
Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, with Father Robert Williams officiating. Burial of cremains will be at East Maplewood Cemetery at a later date.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
