MARTINSVILLE, Ind. —
Leslie D. “Dale” Garrison, 61, Martinsville, passed from this life on May 18, 2013, at the Franciscan St. Francis Health Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born June 13, 1951, in Franklin, to the late Dewey Garrison and Maggie Conner.
Mr. Garrison was a tanker truck driver for 37 years, working for BP, McDaniel’s, Jackson Oil and most recently Marathon Oil.
He attended Anderson schools and was a member of the Centerton Community of Christ Church in Martinsville. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed gardening and playing horseshoes.
He married his sweetheart, Donna (Mason) Garrison, on July 10, 1969; she survives in Martinsville. He also leaves behind many friends and loved ones, including two daughters, Tammy Thompson (husband, Grant), Danville, and Cricket Henry, South Bend; two brothers, Bob Hollers and Dewey Garrison Jr., and one sister, Linda Paschal (husband, Max), all of Anderson; and four grandchildren, Destiny and Forest Thompson and Skler and Daylan Henry.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Gloria Stearns.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life memorial service on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Centerton Community of Christ Church in Martinsville with visitation from 5 to 6 p.m. at the church.
