ANDERSON, Ind. —
Wilbur T. Huffman, 90, of Anderson, passed away May 3, 2013, at Community Hospital Anderson.
He was born March 24, 1923, in Noblesville and lived most all of his life in Anderson. Wilbur was the son of the late Lennie A. and Helen M. (Swinford) Huffman.
He retired in 1975 from Delco Remy Division of General Motors, after 34 years of employment.
He was a member of UAW-CIO Local 662.
Wilbur is survived by his two daughters, Linda (Larry) Embree of Anderson and Tanna (John) Veach of Pendleton; eight grandchildren, Lori (Wade) Jones, Tom Baker, Derek (Virginia) Scherer, Leslie Chelland, Courtney (Brian) Koster, Michelle (Michael) McGuire, Bret Scherer and Sarah Scherer; 10 great-grandchildren and one on the way; three brothers, Neil Huffman, Richard Huffman and Jerry Huffman; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha “Betty” Huffman; son, Larry Scherer; and five siblings, Bobby Huffman, Ronnie Huffman, Mildred Martin, Phyllis Mae Burn and Joan Brandenburg.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, Ind., with Chaplain Rob Mifflin officiating. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
