ALEXANDRIA, Ind. —
Frances M. Hook, 86, of Alexandria, died March 14, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis.
Frances was born May 9, 1926, in Anderson to Frank and Charlotte (Qualters) Ripberger. She married Archie M. Hook on June 12, 1954, and retired from Guide Lamp Corporation in Anderson in 1955 after 10 years of service.
Frances was a 1944 graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Anderson. She was formerly active in the Shiloh Ladies Aid, the Madison County 4-H Program, and St. Joseph Church as a member. She enjoyed spending time in Arizona and at Dewart Lake. She especially enjoyed music and playing euchre.
Frances’ family includes two children, Marie (Richard) Symmes of Anderson, and Carolyn (David) LeCount of Elwood; daughter-in-law, Judy (Dan) Ginder of Alexandria; six grandchildren Ben, Ed, Michelle (Michael), Melissa, Ryan (Whitney), and Brayden 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of more than 47 years, Archie M. Hook who died May 10, 2002; and a son, Robert Hook who died Jan. 10, 1992.
A funeral mass will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Church in Elwood with Father Bob Williams officiating. Burial will be in Elwood City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood and will include a 7 p.m. Rosary Service.
