---- — FRANKTON — Wilma F. Drake, 95, of Frankton, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013, at her residence.
She was born on Aug. 17, 1918, to the late Ernest and Frances (Shivley) Braddick. On June 28, 1936, she married the love of her life, Willard E. Drake. He passed away on May 13, 2004. Wilma worked at the Banner Store in Anderson and other different jobs providing for her family.
She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church of Frankton. She was the oldest member of the Madison County Extension Club, for 75 years.
Wilma’s family would like to thank her special care givers, Diana Adams, Grace Savage, Naomi Scales, Malissa Castor, Lillie Dudley, Kathy Kelich, and Southern Care Hospice Service.
Wilma is survived by her son, Doug (Cathy) Drake of Anderson; five grandchildren, Barry (Cindy) Olson, Laura (Tim) Bireley, Todd (Elise) Olson, Mark (Karen) Drake and Amanda (Justin) Bousman; 16 great-grandchildren, Kristen Olson, Arik Olson, Luke Olson, Carlie Olson, Katie Bireley, Kelly Bireley, Cassandra Bireley, Madelyn Bireley, Andy Olson, Linda Marie Olson, Wyatt Drake, Skyler Drake, Haley Jenkins, Jeremy Jenkins, Ryan Bousman, Dayton Bausman; severla nieces and nephews; and half sister, Wanda Myer of Florida.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Linda Olson; and sister, Norma Clevenger.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home, Frankton, with the Rev. Gary Elsten officiating. Burial will follow in the K of P/IOOF Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be made to either Frankton First United Methodist Church Building Fund or Madison County 4 H Association.
