---- — ANDERSON — George C. Mahla, 77, of Anderson died Sept. 10, 2013, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital after an extended illness.
He was born June 28, 1936, in Anderson, to George C. and Ethel A. (Reuse) Mahla. He served in the U.S. Marines.
He was self-employed.
Survivors include his brother, Ray (wife, Karla) Mahla of Anderson; daughter, Jennifer Mahla of Indianapolis; special nurse and friend, Linda Parker; special caregiver, Rick Pring; and several nieces, nephews and special friends, including Lester (wife, Toni) Blackwell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Lois Schaefer.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. today at East Maplewood Cemetery with Ned Clark officiating. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 266 Honor Guard will provide military rites.
