ANDERSON, Ind. —
Wanda L. Imel, 89, of Anderson went to be with Jesus on July 4, 2013.
She was born June 26, 1924 in Clinton, Ind. to Robert B. and Esther (Prulhiere) Myer.
She was a member of Bethany Christian Church and later Fall Creek Christian Church for many years. Her love of Jesus was evident in everything she did.
Wanda was an extremely talented woman who was known for sewing, cooking and the many crafts she made. She will be especially remembered for the beautiful eggs of all kinds that she decorated and the many quilts she made. Wanda also played the organ.
Wanda leaves behind daughter, Jean (Charles) Ehrhart, and son, Mark Imel; 12 grandchildren and spouses; eight great grandchildren and spouses; and six great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ora K. Imel; parents; brothers, Max and Larry Myer, and daughter-in-law Bobbi Imel.
Thank you from all of the family to all of the staff at Monticello House and St. John’s Hospice program for the loving care that was given to Wanda. Thank you also for all the faithful friends from both churches.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. today with the funeral following at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Tom Wiles and Skip Mitchell officiating. Interment will be at East Maplewood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Anderson Alzheimer’s Support Group, Monticello House or St. John’s Hospice would be appreciated.
