Letter: More jobs needed without education

What Anderson and the rest of America needs besides more taverns and less churches, is more jobs and more pay, with no education required. Used to be that way until a few greedy billionaires brought the whole thing to a screeching halt on Wall Street.

Violent bombings and murders are out of control in Iraq, and many politicians are now doubting why we went there in the first place. They pretend to have no complicity in this huge calamity in Iraq, as well as in Afghanistan and Pakistan. We hand-picked Iraq’s president and type of government. The American way? Now, we are trying to change their religion and the way their women are treated, none of which is any of our business. All this, thanks to Bush and Cheney. All this goofy stuff in the Mideast is just a small contributor to our present-day financial meltdown.

Wall Street and their conservatives are the main cause. Oh, we know Wall Street, though we are the world’s leaders in corn and soybeans, we buy both off South America, to keep our prices down and the same for oil, which we ship raw to Europe to be refined then shipped back home, also to keep prices down. But, the problem is prices are not staying down.

The average American worker is asked to row harder and faster for an increasing growth of Wall Street, only leaving no meat on the bone for the grunts.

To pay off this war mongering, the Republicans want to eliminate Social Security, Medicare and our pensions, and save a slice of the pie (tax cuts) for the rich and Wall street.
