Letter: Pence's actions shouldn't be a surprise

Shocking! Mike Pence is "laid back and likes to come up with ideas, and let someone else figure out to do it." After 12 years as a do-nothing congressman, no one should be surprised. He has no concern if taxes are passed on to the working class as long as he can cut taxes for corporations.

It looks like Pence and the bigoted Republicans will strip away civil rights from gays. I hope if it passes that the Supreme Court will rule it as unconstitutional.

News flash! President Obama is not a dictator. He won two elections, unlike his predecessor. Just because he appoints judges that do not come from the tea party, doesn't make them socialist. Democrats would like for all Americans to have health insurance as a right, like all other civilized nations.

I'm sick of Boehner and his fellow Republicans asking "where are the jobs?" and Obama's policies "just aren't working." They haven't tried any of his economic ideas. Obama gave Boehner a jobs program to build roads, bridges and schools two years ago and he never gave it to a committee for a hearing. Just collect their pay and do nothing.

After years of obstruction and lies Republicans think they should be rewarded by keeping control of the House and taking over the Senate. That's just what we need, more tea party candidates who haven't got a clue of how to govern and refuse to compromise, even if it is in the best interests of America.
