Letter: All humans never free of wickedness

When in our history — 1610 to today — have we "turned from our wicked ways?" (THB, Feb. 7) When and why was our nation "so blessed by God," a free people wallowing in sin? But our government has never been corrupt like India or Russia, for example. We, like all humans, have never been free of wickedness. A perfect age, even the mythical claim of America exceptionalism, has never occurred.

President Obama is "a dictator," says Jerry Shelton, but Jesus acted as a pure socialist in the parable of the workers in the vineyard.
