Letter: Story of divided church family brings response

A family divided concerning the United Methodist Church in Alexandria. Read it. Study it.

I have heard it said that the people who are usually right according to the real truth of the Bible, and not arguers are afraid to speak out, me too. So did you read in The Herald Bulletin the title "Church Torn Apart by Gay Issue."

I cut it out so no one could dispute my sayings. I've read many times in The Herald Bulletin, Christians quoting the many Scriptures in the Bible of rebuking the homosexual lifestyle. This Mr. Fraley said: along his own journey, he has come to form his own theory about Christianity and homosexuality. He said the law forbidding a man to lay with another man in Leviticus, he don't like, how people pick and choose which verses they want to apply he considers himself a Christian and the meaning for Christian, I've always heard is Christ-like. Does he consider our Lord Jesus Christ a homosexual? Possibly? Mr. Steele said that his family and about 80 percent of the congregation left because of the situation with Fraley, they agreeing with the homosexual lifestyles.

I agree with Pastor David Mantor and the district superintendent and the Lord Jesus Christ.
