Letter: 'Chefs Boy R We' raises about $50,000 for 2 projects

We would like to thank the 58 chefs and those who attended for making the first "Chefs Boy R We!" such an overwhelmingly successful event! A special thanks to our "Apron" sponsors, Community Hospital Anderson Auxiliary and medical staff, Dr. Jim and Betsy Callahan, Ricker's and Dr. Dave and Beth Tharp.

The real winners of the evening are the students throughout Madison County who will receive assistance from the newly created Support Our Students (SOS) fund which will meet healthcare-related needs. In addition, proceeds will also benefit our Automated External Defibrillator (AED) fund which has and will save lives in our county. We are thrilled to report that approximately $50,000 was raised for these two funds.

The Community Hospital Anderson Foundation is pleased to be able to support our county in this way.

Keith Trent, vice president/chief foundation officer and the "Chefs Boy R We!" Committee: Dana Donahue, Nancy Likens, Marsha Mustin, Nancy Ricker, Merrellen Robinson, Pam Shoot, Marcia Simmermon, Win Thanas, Linda West, Pat Woods, Betty Williams
