Letter: Heartfelt thanks to anonymous diner

On Sunday, Sept. 8, my husband and I decided to go out to eat.

As we had won a gift certificate to Eva's Pancake House, we went there. We really enjoyed the meal.

When we got ready to leave, I discovered that I had left the rest of our money in another purse at home and did not have enough money to pay the remainder of the bill not covered by the gift certificate.

The manager was very nice and said if I left my ID I could go home and get the rest of the money.

We started to leave, but before we got to our car our waitress came to us and and said someone had anonymously paid for our meal. We were surprised and couldn't believe it.

We would like to say thank you to whoever the nice person was that paid for our lunch.
