Editorial: Area fall athletes distinguish themselves

(Continued)

Earlier in the season, Anderson’s Morgan Nadaline, a senior, completed her prep golf career with a third straight trip to the IHSAA state level. She was joined by Pendleton Heights junior Emily Tilton, who made her second straight appearance. Nadaline tied for fourth and Tilton was 28th.

Finally, the Lapel Bulldogs girls tennis team won the school’s first sectional title in that sport. Not often does a team accomplish something for the first time, especially at a school with such a rich athletic tradition as Lapel.

All athletes gave their communities more reasons to be proud. Fortunately winter sports are just around the corner.

In summary Led by the Pendleton Heights girls cross country team, many area fall sports teams and athletes have made significant accomplishments this year.
