Letter: Republicans will eventually ban guns

In Indianapolis, the dominant party (GOP) is busy lowering taxes of the rich and big business and raising middle-class taxes by giving them a tiny tax cut while winking, then putting in place all kinds of hidden taxes (user fees, ticket fees, etc.).

As far as guns, I’m not concerned because being one of the middle class, I know where to go when I or my family can’t survive or get relief. And there are millions of us who the Republicans claim should all give up government help and apply for jobs at fast food joints.

So, to the Republicans who want to destroy the lives of 30 million Americans who depend on government help every day, I say we are well armed. In the long run, it will be Republicans who ban guns. You just watch.

Anyone can cut taxes. They can take money away from the poor, food out of the mouths of children and pay away from workers, police and firemen.

Why do we need elected officials if this is all they can offer? It’s the good politicians who salt our roads, builds our bridges, drain our cities and maintain our military police and fire departments nationwide. And more. And, while they’re at it, build schools and protect kids from thugs, skin heads, druggies and other calamities; not Republicans who allow gun dealers to make new guns without serial numbers. Great thinking — huh?
