Letter: Lapel teacher thanks fundraiser supporters

Lapel High School held its annual "auction" fundraiser on Saturday, April 19, to raise money for the students who are going to Europe next fall.

On behalf of those students, I would like to thank all of those people who supported this activity as well as the other fundraisers that were held throughout the year. The support has really been phenomenal. I would also like to thank all the individuals, companies and businesses who provided donations to make the auction such a great success.

The auction raised $12,416 on Saturday. For the year, the fundraisers for this trip totaled $22,683. Because of your support, this educational opportunity will become a reality for many of those students who, otherwise, may not have been able to participate in this trip. There are 40 students at Lapel High School who have registered for the trip next fall, and they all owe a big thanks to all who supported these activities.

Now that Andrew Luck is getting ready to start the third year of his NFL career, did the Colts make the right decision to release Peyton Manning and turn the offense over to Luck?

Yes, the future is bright.
No, the Colts would have won another Super Bowl by now if they had kept Manning.
Don't know; don't care
