Letter: Gay choice not a civil right

The gay movement is not like the civil rights movement in this nation. For the Obama administration to say that this case is similar is in error. It's certainly not. The Coalition of African American Pastors (CAAP) is currently working to collect one million signatures to support the argument that same-sex sexuality is not a civil right that can be compared to what blacks have gone through in America.

Eric Holder has repeatedly circumvented established law to promote a particular type of sexual behavior and forced his own personal views on the states. He has violated his oath of office by attempting to impose same-sex "marriage" throughout the nation. This is blatantly wrong.

Same-sex sexuality is not a civil right. What blacks have gone through in America is completely different. Equality as human beings in the eyes of God is biblical in context and most worthy of cause. Same-sex sexuality choice is not.

Some people who argue that same-sex sexuality is a civil right will also argue that partial birth abortion is a civil right. Where does it stop? This was a nation founded on Judeo-Christian beliefs. Many of our laws were generated from the Ten Commandments. Moral direction for our nation was established early on with our Judeo-Christian heritage. True, all was not utopia, but biblical and positive direction was established from our roots as a country.

This is not about color or race. This is about individual choices one chooses to make.
