You Said It: About the wheel tax, Ravens softball and cold beer sales


ANDERSON, Ind. — Each Monday, The Herald Bulletin publishes “You Said It,” a compilation of reader comments from www.theheraldbulletin.com coupled with responses by the newspaper’s editorial board.

THB: If the wheel tax is put back into effect, the money collected must go for road repair and road repair only.



Anderson Community School Corp. has altered policy after a student was left alone for several hours. (May 16)

THB: The good news is that the child was not hurt and policy has been changed to make sure this will not happen again. A sweep of the entire building should be done every afternoon before staff leaves.

THB: Way to go, Ravens! Despite two losses — Friday and Saturday — in the NCAA Div. III Softball World Series, you had a magical season.



Convenience stores sue for right to sell cold beer. (May 15)

THB: There are some odd liquor laws and hoops that establishments must jump through, but at the end of the day the convenience store is just another retail business trying to make a buck. Any retail business that adheres to the laws of selling beer and liquor should be able to offer cold beer whether it be a convenience store or grocery store.
