Letter: Stand against segregation upheld

In the early ’60s, Sister Mary, Sister Cletus and others of The Congregation of Holy Cross (CCS) served on a committee for the United Way. Doctors John Woodall, George M. Pherson and I refused to contribute to United Way because the YMCA was segregated. We dubbed the "Y" Young Christian White Men's Association. Sister Mary wanted 100 percent employee participation. The issue was addressed and the following year, St. John's Hospital paid 100 percent participation.

Thank you, Sister Mary!

Now that Andrew Luck is getting ready to start the third year of his NFL career, did the Colts make the right decision to release Peyton Manning and turn the offense over to Luck?

Yes, the future is bright.
No, the Colts would have won another Super Bowl by now if they had kept Manning.
Don't know; don't care
