Court denies request to throw out demolition decision in Pendleton, future of building still in limbo. (Article published Feb. 25)

  •  “The building is going to make people sick? People will say anything to prove their point. Sad...

Our historic high school was torn down in the 1970s and those who were not born then, ask why that great building is gone... Don’t let this happen to your historic high school...”

  •  “This historic building has been the pride of the community and sheltering Pendleton children since it was built nearly 80 years ago, and deserves to continue to be a viable part of our community. It could be a beautiful headquarters for the school corporation, additional classroom space, a charter school, arts magnet school, among many other possibilities.”

THB: Once  historical buildings are gone, they are gone and many can be re-purposed. On the other hand, what can be a very emotional issue has to be tempered with practicality.

Police: Two drug sellers, one buyer arrested in meth bust (Feb. 27)

  • “So let’s just solve the problem and stop supplying the Sudafed-pseudoephedrine. It’s not a cure for anything  ... I’m sure it has caused more death than it has prevented. Come on it’s a simple solution. The old saying is “Don’t give me the problem, give me the solution.”
  •  “Seems like the Madison County jail is full of meth dealers, makers and users. So full they are housing them in other counties. I don’t understand how or why anyone would risk losing their family and ruining their future for that crap.”
