Viewpoint: Too much greed in this country

If you are up-to-date with politics, why would anyone in this era vote Republican? This Congress is against every issue President Obama has tried to put in place, even some they were for, before Mr. Obama became our president. Kind of telling, I think.

The Republicans are not good for our environment, remember drill baby drill? Some even say global warming is not real. They are against Obamacare but have no solution for uninsured Americans, and what is this crusade against Planned Parenthood? To me the name says it all: every child should be planned. This is a very good health care system. The Republicans want to end all contraception, why? Knowledge on preventing pregnancy should be available worldwide as this population explodes. Check out or ZPG.

Our new Republican Gov. Mike Pence is not a friend to women's health issues and he is a friend to the NRA. They have given him a grade A rating; check out his website. I believe the unions made the middle class and the Republicans are trying hard to end unions. Look what they have done to the postal system. If all of this succeeds, the middle class — most of us — will disappear and the very wealthy will govern the country.

Not a pretty picture, oceans polluted with oil spills, lands contaminated with chemicals. We are not allowed to know what are in the chemicals from natural gas fracking. The world is changing, bees disappearing, Monarch butterflies dwindling, because they need milkweed to lay their eggs on. Farmers and some homeowners use too many pesticides and herbicides. Is a really green weed-free yard worth the loss of so many desirable creatures?

Too much greed in this country. I know you might think I'm Captain Bringdown, but I believe all of this. If you read and keep abreast with local happenings, you know this is true.
