The Herald Bulletin

---- — On Monday, Sept. 16, the annual Anderson Country Club Fall Classic Golf Tournament took place. A big “thank you!” goes out to Hoosier Park Racing & Casino for being the title sponsor of this event.

Thanks to Texas Roadhouse for organizing the tournament and for recruiting participants and sponsors. More than $11,000 was netted for Second Harvest Food Bank of East Central Indiana. The tournament attracted 23 teams as well as many golf professionals. Pro golfers from around the state participated in a match prize pot with $2,000 going to the winning team. Scores were incredibly low with no Mulligans, no strings or rulers, just good golf.

Brian Hill’s team won with a 52. It was reported that the day was enjoyed by all and ended with the MetLife blimp flying over the course during the playoff between six teams competing for third place. Alex Stinson’s team won the playoff by making an eagle - 3 on No. 1.
