The Pendleton Garden Club recently judged the holiday decorations in the community.
First place went to Steve and Brenda Cochran of 6239 Chestnut Drive, pictured top left, in the White Oaks Addition. The Cochrans’ yard was decorated on all sides with multi-colored lights. Lighted snowflakes graced the side of the house, and colorful balls hung from the front trees.
The roofline was accented with white lights, making the house a stand-out.
Second place was awarded to Tim and Rebecca McClintick of 312 Broadway. This two-story home, pictured bottom left, was decorated with twinkling icicle lights, garlands, and wreaths on every window.
The decorations were in keeping with the historical home’s décor.
The third-place award went to Patty Redmond, of 6349 Chestnut Drive. Redmond decorated her home with white lights, and adorned the home with red accents.
Next season, the club plans to judge the decorations on the second weekend in December, and three awards will again be given to those who haven’t won before.
Nominations will be accepted by the community.
