ANDERSON — Myron LaVerne Brummet, 70, Anderson, passed away Jan. 22, 2009, at Bethany Pointe Health Campus, Anderson, after a brief illness.
He was born Sept. 5, 1938, in Anderson, And resided in Madison County all of his life. LaVerne was a graduate of Pendleton High School. He served his country in the National Guard.
LaVerne retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 26 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie (Rood) Brummet, whom he married July 25, 1969; children, Bradley A. (Judy) Brummet of Greenwood, Michael L. (Cyndi) Brummet of Pendleton, Leland P. (LeAnn) Brummet of Anderson and Michelle R. (Ray) Brunner of Anderson; brother, Carroll (Helen) Morgan of Greenfield; grandchildren, Todd, Christopher, Hailey, Phillip, Meghan, Montanna, Savanna, Denay and Tommy; one great-grandchild, Jade; and three nieces and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Velma (Foreman) Brummet; and his brother, Wyrneth Brummet.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, with Pastor Tad Finch and the Rev. Greg Allison officiating. Burial in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the South Chapel.
