PENDLETON — Betty Mae (Frame) Nicholas, 85, Pendleton, passed away Jan. 18, 2009, at Rawlins House, Pendleton.  

She was born Sept. 4, 1923, in South Bend, and resided in this area most of her life. She was a homemaker and had been a nurse receptionist for Dr. Lennington.

Betty was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church and sang with the Sweet Adelines.

She is survived by her sons, Jim and wife Daisy Nicholas and Donald and wife Jan Nicholas; sister, Kathryn Thompson; six grandchildren, Angela and husband Ronnie Martin, Darrin Nicholas, William Lehr, Bradley and wife Julie Lehr, Tony and wife Mary Nicholas and Tim Nicholas; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Hobart Nicholas; her parents, Vern and Esther (Mossberg) Frame; and a sister, Elenor Jackey.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, with Pastor Dennis Coppock officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the South Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads United Methodist Church, 2000 N. Scatterfield Road, Anderson, IN 46012.
